Drunk and Rock & Republics - Part 2

I can't believe that it has already been a couple of weeks since my last post. It's tough to keep up on this blog when I spend more time "researching" and "observing" than I do writing about it. The last time I wrote I was on a mission to discover the thrills of designer jeans. As you can guess from the title I settled on a pair of Rock & Republics.

It took me a while to finally get out and try on some of the different brands out there. I have to admit that I wasn't exactly thrilled to go out looking for clothes but the experience turned out to be good. When I arrived at the mall I was reminded by the shining Chili's sign in the parking lot. It was a sign to remind me that I had to start this adventure out the right way! I went to their bar and ordered my favorite Chili's drink, a Cadillac Margarita. One turned into two or three and I was feeling happy and ready to try on some clothes.

I went to several stores and tried on several different pairs and brands. It's a bit hard to get jeans on after three drinks; I wouldn't try it at home. Being the seasoned professional I managed. Ok back to the jeans. I honestly thought that jeans made by Seven and True Religion were only for woman, but I was wrong. After trying on several pairs I found the ones for me. Or as some of my friends would say, they found me. I can't believe how great they fit! I found some that made me feel confident, happy and ready to put this theory to test. Remember the question is will wearing designer jeans make it easier to meet woman? It was a good thing that I was buzzed because the sticker shock would have been a lot worse if I wasn't. Ahhh being buzzed helps with everything in life, don't you think? So now that I have the jeans it's time to test this theory out. Stay tuned, and until then bottoms up!

Drunk and Rock & Republics - Part 1

Does the name brand of what I'm wearing really make a difference? Until recently the brand name of my clothes haven't been all that important to me. When I step out of my door and am ready for a night on the town the only name I care about is who makes the liquor I'm drinking. Names like Patron, Jack, Ciroc are what excite me. So unless it's the brand name of what is in my cup, I'm not interested, or am I?.

During a night out while I was throwing my pimp daddy what up baby drunken slurred lines at a girl it hit me like a Patron shot. Does this girl care what I am wearing? If I had some designer labels on would it help keep or get her attention? I had to find out.

The rest of the night was a blur but the thought stuck. After getting through the rough morning I was ready to do a bit of research. I started with calling up some friends that insist on only wearing brand names. They wear them with pride and believe me they don't forget to tell you how much they paid for them. They gave me a laundry list of what to look for and what brands were considered better than others. Better made or better perceived? What did they mean by better?

Since then I have talked to a couple of other people to get an idea about what brand names are best and were to go buy them. I have to admit this seems daunting and expensive, I think I need a drink. I will keep you updated on what I find out. Until then keep the drinks flowing!

Welcome to Drunk In The City

According to Wikipedia, severe drunkenness may lead to acute alcohol intoxication. Common symptoms may include slurred speech, impaired balance, poor coordination, flushed face, reddened eyes, reduced inhibition and uncharacteristic behavior.

Drunkenness can result in temporary experience of a wide range of emotions, ranging from anger, sadness, and depression to euphoria, lightheartedness, joviality, and sexual dis inhibition. Consuming excessive amounts of alcohol may lead to a hangover the next day.

What it doesn't include, are the great adventures it leads to. A state of being where everything that seems one way can actually be another or reversed or flipped upside down depending on how drunk you are, what you’re drunk on, who you’re drunk with and who you meet when you’re drunk. I have decided to selflessly put myself in harms way and voluntarily experience as much severe drunkenness as possible to bring you stories while drunk-in-the-city.
